Avigal Maor — psychotherapist, hydrotherapist, Watsu practitioner, and swim coach. Four different ways to meet whatever asks for attention — through conversation, through movement, in warm water, or out in the open sea.
Not every path fits every moment. Together we can find what's right now.
Four ways to meet. The same Avigal. The same love for people and water.
Meeting through conversation. A safe place for emotional weight, relationships, stuck places, and life transitions.
I'm looking for emotional therapy →Meeting through warm water. An hour of floating, softness, breath, and deep relaxation.
I'd like to try Watsu →Meeting through movement in water. Gentle therapeutic work for rehabilitation, pain, range of motion, and strength.
I need rehabilitation in water →Meeting through space, sea, and community. Swimming, confidence in the open sea, fitness, and a connection to nature.
I want to join the sea →The four paths are not steps and not a hierarchy.
They are different ways, fitted to different people and to different moments in life.
Sometimes it's right to talk.
Sometimes it's right to move.
Sometimes it's right to be held in warm water.
Sometimes it's right to enter the open sea.
An understanding of the physiology of skeleton and muscle, alongside the credentials of an Adlerian psychotherapist — a view that holds both body and mind together.
Experience makes depth possible — but the tools stay simple, clear, and fitted to everyday life.
Years of work in warm water — hydrotherapy, Watsu, and swimming — alongside familiarity with a wide range of physical conditions, rehabilitation, and pain.
Above the credentials and the disciplines, what connects Avigal's work is genuine curiosity for the person across from her — and a deep understanding of what water makes possible.
There is in me an almost endless drive to learn — and at the end of all the learning, what remains is genuine curiosity for the person across from me.
Avigal is an Adlerian psychotherapist, a certified hydrotherapist, a Watsu practitioner (levels 1, 2, and 3 clinical), and a swim coach.
She holds a B.A. in English literature, a teaching degree, and an M.A. in family studies. She trained as a psychotherapist at the Adler Institute, and is fully certified in hydrotherapy and Watsu.
Practicing in English and Hebrew.
You can start with a short message. You don't need to know exactly what to ask — just write what brought you here, and Avigal will get back to you for a first conversation.
